I received my Ph.D from Inter University Consortium for Department of Atomic Energy Facilities, Indore , India. My doctoral project was associated with identification of conventional and unconventional magnetic phases using the technique of linear and non linear ac magnetic susceptibility. For this, I built an state of art susceptometer for sensitive detection of the higher harmonic susceptibility and acquainted myself with low temperature instrumentation. I investigated various magnetic phases including diluted antiferromagnets, ferromagnets, superconductors & rare earth intermetallics in terms of linear and non linear susceptibility. An important outcome of my doctoral work was the identification of spin glasses and superparamagnetic phase using the third order ac susceptibility.
Prior to joining IISER Pune as DST Ramanujan Fellow in September 2012, my post doctoral research spanned different institutes;Department of Materials, University of Oxford, UK ; Liebniz Institute for Solid State & Material Research, Dresden, Germany ; Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, India
